's Desires of the Heart
Desires of the HeartThe darkest night gave way to the bright of day. With the release of the dawning light, the hold of Fear, Weakness, and Oppression lost its grip, leaving the angels in varying states. Some faced the the darkest part of them, conquered it with their light and strength - or even just sheer stubborn willpower. Others were trapped, hurt, needing help from their allies to escape. But some... some were lost to themselves, without hope and without light.
Those who fought their way out, whether weak in body or in mind, they went straight to the source. Honing in like ships to a beacon in the night, they rushed to their home. Something had touched the Tree of Life - and that meant they were more vulnerable than ever.
Upon reaching Celestial Secret, darkness lingered like a filthy miasma outside the protection of Celestial Secret. The cause of their plight was found: a revealed root outside the shield of their home. The culprit, however, remained to be seen, either gone or hidden by the smog.
Still gasping for air after her fight with the shadow, Aila slowly made her way, so focussed on getting to the tree of life she doesn't even see the other angels asleep in front of it. As the last of her strength leaves her she collapse's in front of the tree, she looks up into the branches, see's them move slightly in the wind and smiles softly... she is home.
Before she can make her way into the shade of the tree, Aila notices all the will-o'-the-wisp's are gone, they usually hang around the tree of life, she's found only some can see them, but she's always been able to see them and yet there are none...
And then... what was that? That smell? It was so... soft. Gentle. Alluring...
"Just rest... Take a nap, my weary angel..."
As Aila listened to the soft voice it felt like she was being wrapped up in a comforting embrace, as she closed her eyes she felt a root from the tree of life rest under her hand, renewing her strength. As Aila slowly awoke with tears in her eyes, she just had the most beautiful of dreams, she cried because she did not wish to wake. As she came back to her senses, she could feel her partner Akash shake her from within, since they are still in beast form. Aila calmed him and asked him to find the other will-o'-the-wisp's and bring them back here, if need be she can ask them to protect the sleeping angels since she couldn't tell if that alluring voice was friend or foe, if friend they could just want the angels to rest and gain their strength once again, but if their a foe... Aila shivered with fear to think what it would want with them. Aila kept hope for the tree of life gave her strength, it must want her ready... for anything.
1) What is most important to your angel? A hobby? A person? A group of people? A place? What holds the most important place
in their heart?
Aila's is to talk and see her partner Akash, when he was human.
2) Why is it/are they important to your angel? Is there a history there? How does it/they soothe them?
Aila has always wanted to see him as a human, what his life was like, how he became a will-o'-the-wisp and to talk to him. Aila has always been able to feel his emotions, but never has she been able to hear him speak until recently. When they got the power to combine into the beastly form, that is the only time she has heard him speak. The why is because Akash has been with her, helping her for a long time, Aila wants to know him as he knows her.
--I was going to write that she acts a little weird since the shadow almost made her go insane, but I just didn't know what to put
If someone wants to write her in their story, go ahead and make her act weird if you want
I also suck at drawing grass
